CHOZO
The chozo is the most noticeable element on a pastural landscape. This is because of its outside appearance and its privileged position. They are normally positioned on a mound, or on the highest part of the property.
This hut is the central element, and the one that binds pastural life together. It is where the shepherds cook and come together for meals. There, the head shepherd gives his daily orders to the different shepherds. It is also the place where each shepherd keeps his clothes and fargayo*, in his storage cupboard. It was also used as a bedroom for the head shepherd, shepherds and shepherd boy.
*Fargayo: food that the shepherd would take with him to the mountain: dried sausage, cheese, dried ham and bread.
